Ingredients:

Big Island Sandalwood ~ A native Hawaiian variety of sandalwood (santalum paniculatum). Originally abundant in the islands, its oils were used by the Hawaiian people for medicinal treatments and fragrance, and its wood was used for building. In an effort to restore this sacred tree, organizations on the the Big island of Hawaii are regrowing dryland sandalwood forests. Trees are only harvested once they are at the end of their life and funding raised through their sales are redistributed back to the reforestation efforts. It’s delicate fragrance captures the salty air and sweet flora breezes.

Zanzibar Clove ~ Zanzibar island is a renown producer of cloves (syzygium aromaticum). Historically, cloves have been used medicinally as an antioxidant, pain reliever, and insect repellent. These cloves are single origin and hand picked and sorted. We were taken aback by their unique lusciousness. They bring a seductive, grounded, and energizing quality to our Okaeri blend.

Omani Frankincense ~ Hojari grade Omani frankincense (boswellia sacra) is a precious and limited resource. Its elegant and citrusy fragrance bring a cleansing warmth to this blend. In its various forms, frankincense has been used for centuries as a pain reliever, stress reducer, and antioxidant. You don’t need much to experience its immersive quality.

*All cones include makko, a tree bark used as a binding agent.
