We are excited to welcome Jane Hashimawari of Ippai back to Fumi to host a Temari sushi making summer series. Temari sushi are small, hand-shaped sushi balls inspired by traditional Japanese embroidered temari toys, topped with colorful ingredients and designed to be eaten in one or two bites. In this small group workshop you will learn how to make temari sushi, complete with recipe, ingredients, and some to take home! Jane will also be making a little somethin’ to share with the group as well. Bring a small cutting board, a knife, fum and your creativity!
About Your Instructor
Jane Hashimawari comes to us with decades of experience in the restaurant industry and cooking instruction. She is the founder of Ippai, a food pop-up inspired by the seasonally focused cuisine of kaiseki and her mom’s everyday Japanese home cooking.
