We are opening our inaugural brick-and-mortar in November 2025! While we make this transition, all online sales are on hold. We hope you'll visit us at our new home ~ 4007 N Mississippi Ave ~ in November. We'll be offering our whole incense line, work by local artists, vintage clothing from Japan and the US, and various other objects of interest. In addition we will be offering incense making classes and live performances. We look forward to welcoming you.

Incense

Fumi incense is made in small batches using all natural materials. Each blend draws inspiration from artist Mia Reiko Braverman’s mixed Japanese heritage, a curiosity for the history of incense, and a deep appreciation for nature. The collection ranges from earthy sandalwood and patchouli to bright frankincense blends and limited editions featuring ingredients sourced from Japan. Handcrafted in her Portland home studio, each fragrance is made to accompany you in moments of slowness, solitude, and community ~

Events

Fumi hosts gatherings that value genuine connection and sensory experience. We’re homebodies at heart, but we believe real-life interaction among strangers is vital to community health. Our events—whether live performances, pop-up shops, or workshops—are designed to feel intentional, grounding, and worth showing up for. Each one is shaped by curiosity and care, offering space to engage the senses, meet others, and experience the quiet joy of being together in real time.
